Think about the absolute best possible time you could have at work. And that probably doesn’t even come close. Shooting Ali and Ollie’s wedding was a LOUD reminder that when you do something that you love, it doesn’t feel like work.

From the get-go, coordinating with THE SMITHS (omg I love saying that), felt like I was making plans with friends. I imagine planning an entire wedding in Texas, while living in London, was not the most stress free thing you could do. But Ali did it, and crushed it, and didn’t even get wrinkles from it.

On their wedding day, they were laid back, giddy and literally had Texas sized grins plastered to their faces the E NT I R E day, and lots of happy tears. Every details was simple and simply stunning. Her dress literally put a frog in my throat, and Ollie’s dad gave the most incredible and incredibly hilarious best man speech I have ever heard. Still not sure if it was just the speech alone or the fact that it was in an English accent. Either way, I died. Everyone did.

The party started the second everyone finished eating and the cocktails were flowing fast. I have never shot a wedding where the dance floor just never cleared out or died down. These people danced their hearts out like we were at a college bar listening to Drake. But instead we were at The (dare I say EPIC) SMITH WEDDING and it was Cardi B that was owning the night. Or maybe Ali’s Cardi B performance. Still not sure. Either way, the night ended, regrettably, and clearing this crowd for the exit felt exactly like herding drunk kittens. Both Ali & Ollie’s families were incredibly kind and fun and silly and PERFECT. And I just can’t even believe THIS IS MY REAL JOB! So shout out to these guys for choosing me! My life is happier because of it!
